Kara Bell attended Marion College where she received her BS in Nursing. Kara then received her MS in Nursing, becoming a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner (NP) through Ball State University. Kara began her career as an NP with The Care Group; a cardiology unit based at Methodist Hospital. She then continued her nursing career with Respiratory and Critical Care Consultants, working alongside Dr. James D. Pike as he cared for pulmonary and critical care patients at both Kindred and St. Vincent Carmel hospitals. She now works for Pike Medical Consultants on the hospitalist team at the Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital. She continues to work along side Dr. Pike, seeing pulmonary patients as well as overseeing the operations with the Pike Medical non-physician provider staff. Kara’s specialties are in cardiology, pulmonary and critical care medicine
